About Wizard101
What is Wizard101?
Wizard101 is a game for PC that centers around the idea of magic, witches and wizards. Wizard101 is rated E10+ by the ESRB and is a highly recommended game by parents and kids alike! Wizard101 is, in my opinion, one of the most safest, funnest, family-safe game on the internet (of course, Pirate101 is as well). Wizard101 does require a quick download that is completely safe and easy to do. There is no blood, no violence (unless you count cartoon, like Disney sort), and quite a bit of comedy. Wizard101 is free to play until you reach about level ten, at which point you will need their special currency of Crowns to access new areas. The good news is the areas come at a cheap cost if you buy them one-by-one, or you can simply purchase a membership for a certain amount of time.
What are the Schools of Magic?
The Schools of Magic are the classes/elements/schools a new wizard or witch may choose from. I say choose, but really, the school chooses the student. At the beginning of the game you are administered a test (don't panic, it's fun!) that asks you questions like "What is your favorite animal?" or, "What is your favorite season?". Based on your answers, you will be placed in a school. Be sure to answer truthfully your first time, as the great majority of the players are happy with the element they are given (I know I was! Go Life School!). There are seven different schools, each with different spells, characteristics, colors, and creatures! The seven schools are: Fire, Storm, Ice, Death, Myth, Life and Balance. Once they have mastered their school, they may pick an Astral School (think of it as going to college). The Astral Schools are Star, Moon and Sun. And there is...one other magic. Shadow magic...but don't ask me about that. Bellow is a chart of the Schools.
